As of 2001, along with my Deputy Mayor, Christophe Girard, decided that the City of Paris would vigorously supprot the film industry in all of its forms.

Our policy involves supporting independent movie theatres, fostering cinema and education, aiding associations and festivals that contribute to the diversity of the cinematographic landscape: initiatives that demonstrate the ever growing love of Paris for the cinema.

I particularly want to encourage filming activities and the cinematographic and audiovisual production because they are important sources of jobs and economic benefits and contribute to the prestige of Paris in France and worldwide.

My principal aim is to encourage filming activities together with audiovisual and cinematographic production, thus creating an important source of job creation and positive economic spin-off which will thurther contribute to the prestige of Paris on both the national and international scene.
